Are you a Caregiving Couple?

As a couple, who may be in the midst of caring for parents or other loved ones, please don’t forget to take care of yourselves. Think of the reasons you want to keep your love alive, the little things you did for each other when you were in Amorata. Loosely, amorata, refers to the birth of romance and love.

If you’re accustomed to going out to dinner once a week, or have nurtured your relationship in the past by setting special times to be together, just the two of you, it’s more important now than ever. Make it happen, like you make everything else that’s important happen everyday.

You’re each so busy with your daily lives, as well as making sure that mom or dad, or both are getting the very best of care physically, as well as emotionally, that you may not be thinking of yourself enough, let alone the most important relationship in your life. Loving couples can lose themselves easily enough for all sorts of reasons. This one is blatantly obvious, arrange to avoid it.

May I suggest that you, lovingly, sit down together and explore how important you are to each other. Your quest in this life brought you together for good reason. As you talk about what you can do now, look forward not back. No taking or giving blame for anything. Just a chance to be loving and give all you have to give in this moment.

“Love has nothing to do with what you’re expecting to get only with what you’re expecting to give – which is everything.” Katharine Hepburn

Until soon, I wish you love and Amorata.
